Events for Freshmen

Here you can find information on the first semester events in the winter semester…

All dates are subject to spontaneous change due to the current pandemic situation. So check again shortly beforehand.

Of course, we will not hold any events parallel to your maths lectures!

The room for the Freshman breakfast has changed!  We will meet in C9A03, on the 9th floor in the C building.

… of the maths student council:

We know that starting at university is pretty scary. Meeting strangers, getting to know the campus, and much more. That’s why there is a Whatsapp group for all freshmen to get in touch with each other, exchange numbers, and talk about maths. If you want to join, just send us an email to: events.fachschaft@math.uni-tuebingen.de.

Events in SS 23

For the coming Semester, we have planned a whole bunch of new events for freshmen, including a consulting offer:

  • Campus tour
    • Mo, 17.4. 13:45 (after first LinA lecture)
    • We will pick you up at the lecture
  • Erstiberatung
    • Di, 18.4. 12-14 o’clock
    • At the student councils (Fachschaft) room (Building C, 3. floor (base floor))
  • Kneipentour
    • Do, 20.4. 19:30
    • Meeting point is the fountain at the marketplace next to the city hall

Events in WS 22

For the coming Semester, we have planned a whole bunch of new events for freshmen, including a consulting offer.

  • Campus tour (we’ll pick you up at your lecture)
    • Tue., 4th of October,  after your first Vorkurs-lecture
    • Mon, 17th of October, after your first Analysis lecture, with a distribution of bags for freshmen
  • Consulting offer: (discord server -> “Beratung” or at the Morgenstelle: Building C, ground floor)
    • Wed., 5th of October, after the tutorial of the Vorkurs at 1:30 pm
    • Tue., 18th of October, 12 am-2pm
  • City Rallye: Fri, 28th of October, 3:30 pm, meeting point: left fountain in front of “Neue Aula”, please bring oyur own shotglases
  • Breakfast: Wed 19th of October, 8 am, in C9A03 (on the 9th floor in the building C), please bring your own dishware
  • Pub tour: Tue, 25th of october, 7 pm, meetingpoint: fountain in front of the town hall
  • Weekend:
    • 21st-23rd of october
    • registration in the “Fachschaftszimmer” (inside the C-Bau, to the back and then left) with a fee of 15€ in cas or registraion per mail at events.fachschaft@math.uni-tuebingen.de while transfering the fee. For the registration we additionally need your name, date of birth, mail, phone number, address, Matrikelnumber and if you’re a vegetarian, so don’t forget to add this information to your mail. Please register until the Wednseday, the 19th of October, 4pm.
